GOH'S BURMA VISIT SET

Singapore--
Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong will officially visit
Burma from March 28-30, marking the first trip by a world leader
since the military regime there seized power in 1988, sources said
on Tuesday.

Goh will be accompanied by about 10 officials, including acting
Minister for National Development Lim Hng Kinag and Second Minister
for Defense Lee Boon Yang, along with a business delegation of
about 25 people.

In Burma, Goh will meet Than Shwe, chairman of the State Law and
Order Restoration Council (SLORC), and other seniour officials for
talks on boosing bilateral economic relations and to play golf to
forge intimate ties between leaders.
