Brazilian, Claudia Furiati has written her well-researched book-
"ZR RIFLE The plot to kill Kennedy and Castro"-on the events
surrounding the plots to kill both leaders. Such international
terrorist crimes are still being directed against Cuba whose
only defence is to give the world this knowledge and keep its
defences on the alert. Cuban archives have been made available
"to make it clear to U.S.and world public opinion that Cuba
wasnot involved with JFK's horrible murder."Claudia writes-

"Kennedy was the fatal victim of an alliance of forces and
interests which opposed him. Fidel was the principal witness who
has never been heard. The Warren Commission affirmed the reports
of the FBI, Secret Service and Police Reports. CIA and FBI
retained important information for self-protection. The Church
report confirmed that several heads of Govts were targets for
assassination -Congo, Dominican Rep. and Cuba. As only Cuba
could provide the answers, Claudia and Cuba's appointed Security
Officer met and exchanged information. The Cuban Revolution had
recovered the National Heritage from the US Interests -including
its Mafia. Revolutionary Justice followed for known criminals
and killers. In May 1959 Vice-Pres. R. Nixon and main US
trans-national power groups, like Pepsi Cola, United Fruit,
Standard Oil and Ford made a deal with Mafia people: Nixon to
overthrow the Castro Govt in return for their support for his
  candidacy for US President.
In Fidel's case the CIA organised many US Mafia attempts on his
life, with guns and poisons, organising many operatives from the
anti-Castro Cubans both chosen and trained from the Miami group
and by CIA in the US Embassy in Cuba. "Castro hypnotically
attracts the masses".said the CIA boss in Cuba, "we must
discourage similar activities against US possessions in other
Latin Countries."

Businessman George Bush and rich friends provided the CIA with
the cash funds needed to build a base in Cuba to provoke a
general uprising of the people supported by an invasion of
anti-Castro forces from Miami. Eisenhower assisted with the
secrecy required. But Cuba also had a spy network. Its G-2
arrested and jailed many of the trainee counter-revolutionaries.
The CIA training Camps for volunteers in Guatemala, Panama etc
were beginning to get bored with nothing to do, so the CIA
instructed the Pentagon to prepare US troops for D-Day. Another
CIA Base -"Operation 40'-ceased to be secret and was involved in
the "Bay of Pigs" planning, or 'Pluto' as it then became. (Also
"Operation 40" became a major tool for US assassinations in
Latin America to prevent the spread of Cuba's example.)

The JFK problem only arose with his defeat of Nixon. Kennedy
made speeches denouncing the 'red' base off the coast. He was
not fully advised of all the secret doings to date on "Pluto".
On being informed six days before the invasion, he at first
refused involvement of US Forces, after having agreed with the
Chiefs of Staff to pin-point the Bay of Pigs as his preferred
invasion area, rather than directly opposite the US coastline.
Still nervous, he retained the right to veto at any moment.

At this time Fidel and his brother Raul knew of the plans and
were not seen in public, thus nullifying any US Ambassador's
based mafia or special unit attempts at assassination. (Also
special poison capsules were prepared for Fidel's demise. These
were kept in Cuban refrigeration conditions and long after the
invasion at the only moment possible, they were unable to
defrost.) The mafia contract was for $1million. Fidel and his
Govt spent this time in training 1 million defence personnel
including volunteer militia and in arresting the many branches
of the 'secret' counter revolutionary forces in Cuba.

On April 17, 'Pluto' forces of 1400 men landed at the Bay of
Pigs. Three days later, 200 of these were dead and 1200 in jail.
Their leaders had reckoned on JFK's support but that was vetoed
by him. Aircraft carriers were ready but not used. The CIA, with
its secret agendas had caused Kennedy a major defeat. He had to
take the blame but was furious with CIA. The CIA blamed him,
with later consequences, for the defeat. Two years later, the
major proof with revelations surfaced that the CIA had operated
on its own and against the instructions of Kennedy. Many other
CIA schemes to use Cubans to remove Fidel also failed.

Fidel announced his prior knowledge of the waiting US forces and
said that JFK, concerned about Latin America, and aware of this
military and political error, decided not to give the order for
intervention. US Admin'n made a decision never to live with
Castro as its neighbour. Kennedy then promised, in pragmatic,
US-Interest words to be nice to everyone in Latin America, with
an Alliance for Progress and a Good Neighbour policy."If we
cannot help the many who are poor, we cannot save the few who
are rich." A handful of sincere men were elected to the Board.
Cuba did not sign. In May 1966 Robert Kennedy reflected, "There
cannot be democracy, justice or individual dignity without
revolutionary changes in the economic, social and political
systems of each and every one of the Latin American Nations. The
revolution will come, whether we like it or not. We can affect
its character but cannot alter its inevitability. Latin
Americans feel so depressed and desperate, but also our own
interests are compromised. We gave medals to dictators, praised
reactionary regimes and were identiified with men that brought
poverty and fear to their lands..." Twoyears after this speech
  Robert Kennedy was assassinated.

"Peter Pan Scheme" was developed between the Florida Catholic
Service Bureau, State Dept officials and CIA, with a highly
placed Cuban cleric, to distribute undercover information in
Cuba that parents would lose the rights of paternity over their
children to the Cuban State, and that many of them would be sent
to Siberia. A wave of rumours, gifts and panic saw the removal
of 15,000 children to Florida by parents, most of whom never saw
the children again. At the same time a US propaganda war on
other Latin Am. States would demand US intervention in Cuba to
'save the children'. Again, Cuba's Intelligence Service gained
inside knowledge. The local conspirators disappeared to USA."

The Kennedys and ZR Rifle (Part 2) "ZR Rifle" was the
'code' group for assassination of foreign leaders. (Cuba
believes this sector to be the JFK assassins).
"Kennedy at this time named Gen. Maxwell Taylor as Chairman of
the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as a man he could trust. Taylor
advocated limited or low profile warfare to which Kennedy was
committed. In contrast all the investments and plans of the
military industrial complex and high commands were directed to
atomic weapons research, rockets, strategic instruments of mass
destruction, all to be used in any future war. The CIA was
restructured also but Task Force W was formed to carry out
anti-Cuban operations on a world-wide level from CIA
Headquarters. On 30 Nov 61 JFK and Net'l Sec'y Council formed
the "Special Amplified Group" (SAG) directed by Robert Kennedy
and Gen. Taylor. It included all relevant Govt agencies
  including CIA,
Pentagon and US Information Agency. Its code name was "Operation
Mongoose". Its purpose, a new political strategy against Cuba. The
ways and means -the same old ones to be tried again, with the
addition of Trade wars by US, all Allies, and others. It also
included Cuba to be expelled from the OAS. Haiti's vote was the
final one lacking to reach a majority. It is said that this most
expensive vote in world history, cost $5 million to Haiti.

In April 62, US military rehearsed a "Quick Kick" invasion of
Cuba from the coast of Puerto Rico, with 83 ships 40,000 men,
and with much propaganda and their normal psychological noise.
Afraid of public adverse reaction, Pentagon and CIA simply
create parallel or'invisible' power structures. This phenomenon
ia at the root of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. "Cuba
should not be abandoned to the Communists", said JFK. The CIA
continued to devise their own invisible plans, secret even to
the various heads of sections, but based in Miami and with the
means to corrupt Cuban ex-residents there. Dozens of camps,
businesses and supply units were established in Miami until this
'JM Wave'section took over the economic control of Op.Mongoose.
Sabotage of Cuba's trade and even the contents of ship's cargoes
commenced. Agents were infiltrated into Cuba and received support
from members of the Catholic Church, Young Catholic Students,
Y.Catholic Uni. students and Y.Catholic Workers. These agents were
duly arrested. The US was certain of an uprising and prepared US
forces at bases in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Haiti and
Domenican Rep. Air and sea attacks on Cuba began. US forced 16
Latin American countries into political and economic isolation of
Cuba, "to rid Cuba of Soviet communist influence."
Then the Missile Crisis intervened in the course of events.

Cuba had no decisive rights to affect the missiles, either their
deployment or their removal. They were however a defence against
US aggression to Cuba. Russia's prime objective was to enforce
the removal of missiles from Turkey and Italy. This was part of
the settlement. The affair was settled at the Cuban "Tripartite
Conference" with US, Russia and Cuba in Jan'y 62. In Jan'y 63
"Mongoose" was deactivated and JFK began a more reasoned
attitude to Cuba.in the form of communication channels. But
those public thoughts were followed shortly by the destruc-tion
of Cuban Oil Refinery, sugarmills and electric powerplants, with
more mercenaries training camps, blockades, threats and more
devious schemes to poison Fidel. Xmas 62, the Bay of Pigs
prisoners were exchanged for damages and compensation $54
million in medicine and tinned food. This led to the closing of
Miami-cuban terrorist training camps and confiscation of their
weapons, thus stopping those Cubans from raids on Soviet ships.
This led to growing antagonism to JFK from those Cubans.

On 22Nov63 JFK was killed- LeeHarvey Oswald the prime suspect.
The pages are filled withmany examples of Oswald's 'secret' life
protected at stages where he could have faltered. For example, he
obtained media space, with fights against Miami Cubans and in the
Cuban Embassy trying to arrange a visa to meet Castro. Again he
attended US Embassy in Moscow to "renounce his US citizenship as
he had turned Marxist." His return passage was paid by US Govt.
etc etc. He had received training at a special operations CIA base
in Japan. He tried in a hundred ways to show that he was a
Communist and pro-Castro. His death was arranged by Jack Ruby a
Dallas Mafia leader, supplier of arms for anti-communists and as a
mafia leader he had access to ultra US rightwing groups and CIA
support. Ruby had to be silenced also.

All of this was done by the CIA to prove that it was Fidel's
Cuba which had assassinated JFK. But who was the marksman? At
this stage the name of an ONI and FBI special agent Banister
appears. He worked for the Caribbean Anti-Communist League, a
link in the chain between anti-communist groups and the US Power
Structure, with contacts with the Somoza, Batista intelligence
services. Its members were racists and cursed Kennedy for support
of Black Rights. Banister's office had been a centre of arms
supply and dist'n to large numbers of Cuban exiles, Oswald and
to the Louisiana Arms Corridor-(Dallas-NewOrleans-Miami) for
Internat'l Anti-Communist Brigades. The New Orleans Camp trained
marksmen and para-military groups, mostly anti-Castro Cubans and
  including Lee Harvey Oswald.

At a meeting with French Journalist Jean Daniel, Kennedy
affirmed that the menace of Soviet influence in the hemsiphere
and not the domestic policies of Castro was the only reason to
justify efforts to isolate and destabilise Cuba. "I believe that
there is no other country, including those of Africa and others
under colonial domination, more humiliated and exploited, in
part due to the policies of my country during the Batista era."
On being advised of the assassination and that Lyndon Johnson
would assume the post, Fidel asked, "What authority does he have
  over the CIA" ? ""

(Masses of evidence, distortions and lies were then exposed in
the after-Dallas events. Whistle-blowers did not live long.
Claudia names FBI,the Mafia and the CIA, as chief suspects with
their secret power systems, either one, or all in collusion. We
would hope with Noam Chomsky, that US power will stop its State
Terror, blockades, use of mafia and assassinations....jclancy)
