The Australian Parliamentary Friends of Burma and the Australian Foundation
for Democracy cordially invite you to attend the Special Preview of the
film "Beyond Rangoon", which will be released in Australia on the 14th of
September, 1995.

Starring Patricia Arquette and U Aung Ko and produced by John Boorman, the
film is a dramatic saga against the backdrop of Burma's political turmoil
and incarcerated leader, Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Aung San Suu Kyi.

Please join Burmese community leaders and their prominent supporters in a
drink before the film and then settle back to enjoy.  Senator the Hon.
Gareth Evans and Alexander Downer wil address the party before the film
commences.

DATE:      28th August 1995

PLACE:    Theatrette,  Parliament House, Canberra

TIME:        7.30pm for 8.00pm

DONATION:     $25.00 per head

Proceeds will go to the Australian Foundation for Democracy and we would be
