RANGOON (AP) The reopening of the convention responsible for drawing up
guidelines for a new Myanmarese (Burmese) Constitution has been postponed
from Oct. 24 to Nov. 28, state radio and television reported.

The announcement of the postponement Wednesday night said that delegates
representing various groups had asked for a one-month delay to enable them
to carry out economic and religious obligations at the end of the rainy
season.

The convention last adjourned in April.

Let's consider what actually forced SLORC to adjourn the Convention?

Your choices are that
          SLORC needs time:

            - to defuse the increasing tension in the military: That will
be until the end of rainy season when regional commanders and their troops
will be sent out to attack the minorities,

            - to wait and see the re-installing democratic forces headed by
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as SLORC still could not find correct response to her
call for talk,

            - to see international response via UN assembly before
reinforcing major attacks on those who are against the interset of SLORC,

            - for all mentioned above,

           - for other reasons than mentioned above (please comment).
