ALL ARAKAN STUDENTS AND YOUTHS CONGRESS

Dated: Oct 14, 1995

The first Arakanese Students and Youths Congress was held
on September 27 to October 6, 1995 successfully, which was
attended by the representatives of ABSDF ( Arakan ), The
Arakanese Students Congress (India ) and Revolutionary
Arakanese Youths and Students ( RAYS ), Bangladesh. 
ABYMU (Arakan).  Student and youth representatives from
(17) townships of Arakan also attended the conference.

By the resolution of the conference, ABSDF (Arakan), The
Arakanese Students Congress (India) and Revolutionary
Arakanese Students and Youths (Bangladesh) were abolished
and the sole leading political All Arakan Students and Youths
Congress  was founded on 6th October, 1995 in order to
construct unity among the Arakanese students and youths in
the struggle for Democracy and Human Rights in Burma.

The following objectives of All Arakan Students and Youths
Congress ( AASYC ) were laid down at the conference.

(1)  To struggle for Democracy and Human Rights.
(2)  To eliminate every kinds of imperialism and
dictatorship.
(3)  To liberate the whole oppressed ethnic nationalities.
(4)  To construct the national unity of Arakan and
(5)  To achieve the lost sovereignty of Arakan. 

(7)  members of Central Leading Committee, (8) members
of Central Committee and (6) members of Alternative Central
Committee were elected by the conference.  Herein, we enclose
the list of Central Committee of AASYC.  Therefore , we will
be much obliged if you could cover the news of our
"Arakanese Students and Youths Conference" held on 27th
September to 6th October, 1995 in Bangkok, Thailand.

ARAKAN STUDENTS AND YOUTHS CONGRESS
PRESS RELEASE 

After the brutal suppression Democratic uprising by the
Burmese military Junta in September, 1988, thousands of
students had come to the liberated areas to continue their
unfinished struggle for Democracy and Human rights in
Burma.  The Arakanese students and youths also arrived at the
areas of Bangladesh, India and Thailand border.  

Amid the formidable obstacles of revolution, the exiled
Arakanese Students and Youths had, with unyielding spirit,
struggled for over seven years under the banners of ABSDF
(Arakan), Arakanese Students Congress (A.S.C), India and
Revolutionary Arakanese Youths and Students (RAYS),
Bangladesh to overthrow the military regime (The SLORC --
State Law and Order Restoration Council) in Burma.  

To unite all the Arakanese students and youths who are
fighting against the Burmese military regime, under one sole
banner and to bring about national unity of Arakan, the
Arakanese students and youths who belonged to the ABSDF
(Arakan), Arakanese Students Congress (India) and
Revolutionary Arakanese Youths and Students (RAYS),
Bangladesh, and individuals have unitedly founded ALL
ARAKAN STUDENTS & YOUTHS CONGRESS on
October 6, 1995 at the Arakanese Students and Youths
Conference held in Bangkok (Thailand) from September 27 to
October 6, 1995 with the following objectives:

1) To struggle for Democracy and Human Rights
2) To eliminate every kind of imperialism and dictatorship
3) To liberate the whole oppressed ethnic nationalities.
4) To construct the national unity of Arakan and
5) To achieve the lost sovereignty of Arakan.

STATEMENT ON THE FIRST CONFERENCE OF
ARAKANESE STUDENTS AND YOUTHS 

(1)  The first Arakanese Students and Youths Conference was
held in Bangkok Thailand from September 27 to November
6,1995.  The conference was attended by a total of 63 students
and  youths representatives of ABSDF (Arakan), Arakanese
Students Congress (A.S.C.) India, Revolutionary Arakanese
Youths and Students (RAYS), ABYMU (Arakan) and from 17
townships of Arakan. 

(2) At the conference, after grave analysis of the present
situations in Arakan, by the resolution of the conference, all
organizations concerning with the Arakanese student and
youth representatives were abolished and the sole "ALL
ARAKAN STUDENTS AND YOUTHS CONGRESS" was
founded unanimously.

(3) Seven members of Central Leading Committee, eight
members of Central Committee and six members of
Alternative Central Committee, total twenty- one executive
members were elected by the conference.

(4) The following main objectives were laid down by the
conference:

1) To struggle for Democracy and Human Rights
2) To eliminate every kind of imperialism and dictatorship
3) To liberate the whole oppressed ethnic nationalities.
4) To construct the national unity of Arakan and
5) To achieve the lost sovereignty of Arakan.

We, ALL ARAKAN STUDENTS AND YOUTHS
CONGRESS (AASYC), legally announce that we will
cooperate hand in hand with all revolutionary organizations
which are struggling to eliminate the military regime in
Burma.
