LET'S BEAT LEE KUAN YEW : A CALL FOR ACTION
   =============================================

Dear Friends,

We would like to draw your attention towards the
Singaporean Senior Cabinet Minister and former PM
Lee Kuan Yew's remarks made on the ongoing
political situation in Burma. He may be the king
or dictator of the four-million people of
Singapore. But he has no moral or political right
to insult the democratic aspiration, sentiment and
leader of the people of Burma.

It is impossible for all of us to take such
statement made by a senior leader of any country
as a simple and sincere expression of his opinion.
We strongly feel that his recent remarks on our
country are a product of conspiracy engineered by
this confused old Singaporean and the uneducated
generals of Burma. Lee, an orthodox Confucian, has
rudely made these statements in order to give some
relief to the SLORC junta who is now reeling under
the combined pressure of the international and
domestic forces of democracy. Being a head of the
broker-state, he is just advocating for the SLORC
regime so that the opportunist Singaporean
business groups could gain some economic
concession for investing in Burma.

Therefore, we, the members of the ALL BURMA
STUDENTS LEAGUE, call upon you all to take
necessary actions against this so-called senior
Cabinet Minister of Singapore. For us, we will
hold a demonstration in front of the Singaporean
embassy in New Delhi on Thursday morning (i.e. 13
June, 1996). The programme would be held in
Singaporean way. Lee's effigy will be canned for
100 time and burnt later after it collapsed.

Down with Lee Kuan Yew.
Down with military dictatorship.
Victory to democracy and justice.

The Central Committee
All Burma Students League
