Since 1988, it is quite typical in Rangoon and other cities in Burma
that many compounds own by ordinary people were robbed by the authorities.
Helpless Burmese were forced to leave their homes and some even faced
persecutions until they gave up their properties. The SLORC people usually
sell or lease these plundered lands to foreign companies investing in
Burma.

So, Mr. Nichols is a victim of SLORC greed which is directly
supported by foreign investment in Burma.
Indeed, Mr. Investors, "Foreign investment helps Robbery and Slave
Labour in Burma."
