Subject: Danish Burma Committee calls for Heineken Boycott!
This announcement is posted upon the request of Danish Burma Committee
======================================================================
There is an alternative - Carlsberg is withdrawing from Burma
-------------------------------------------------------------
* Two multinational breweries Carlsberg and Heineken have
planned investments in Burma.
* Now the Danish-based brewery Carlsberg has announced that it
withdraws its interest in Burma while the Dutch-based brewery
Heineken still continues its investments in one of the worst
dictatorship in the world.
* Carlsberg decision is an important step in the isolation of
the SLORC-dictatorship in Burma. And it is a victory for
business ethic.
--------------
* Furthermore Carlsberg's decision makes it much easier for
consumers to vote for democracy and human rights while
shopping.
* The Danish Burma Committee calls for a boycott against Heineken.
There is an alternative!!!
