BAD THEMATIC 1

                  BURMA ACTION DIRECTORY (BAD)

                    PART I -- THEMATIC LIST
                            SLICE 1
                      Update October 1996

This Directory, which is in constant evolution, and therefore
always out of date, is a networking tool for the Burma support
community. It does not try to cover the whole of the Burma
support community or the organisations interested in Burma.
Many of the groups and individuals have specialized interests
and information which may be mentioned where not obvious from
their titles. The Directory is in three parts: Thematic,
Geographic and Corporate. There is much overlap. Since the
parts may be updated at different times, use the info from the
most recent update.

BAD is particularly weak on media, academics and governments.
Please send corrections and additions to the Burma Peace
Foundation, which will put out a BAD UPDATE from time to time
on reg.burma, soc.cult.burma and other places on the internet.

URGENT: PLEASE SEND NAMES, PHONE, FAX, MAIL AND EMAIL
ADDRESSES OF BURMA DESK OFFICERS AND REGIONAL OFFICERS OF
GOVERNMENTS AND REGIONAL ORGANISATIONS to darnott@xxxxxxxxxxx
or (Fax (+41-22) 733 2040

N.B THE GEOGRAPHIC LIST WHICH ACCOMPANIES THIS ONE, HAS BEEN
UPDATED MORE RECENTLY THAN THIS ONE.
