Movement on Myanmar border curbed
>From A Correspondent
IMPHAL, Nov. 21.

The BSF and the central forces in Chandel district bordering
Myanmar have restricted the movement of petty businessmen
and smugglers along the international border following snipings
and lootings by armed youth suspected to be members of some
proscribed organisations, official sources said.

Three personnel of 11 Gurkha Regiment posted at Moreh along
the international border were seriously injured on Tuesday when
they were ambushed. Besides there have been increasing
reports of lootings from businessmen coming to Moreh. Soon
after the commission of the crime these armed men cross over
to Myanmar rendering the Indian security forces helpless.

Since no criminal has been apprehended so far, it is not exactly
known which underground organisation commits these crimes.
It is suspected that even some underground organisations of
Myanmar might have been behind these crimes.
