			ASEAN Burma fears

	ASEAN is concerned at the prospect of Burma's internal problems 
spilling beyond its national borders and destablising the region, the 
Malaysian Foreign Minister, Mr Abdullah Badawi, said yesterday.

	Speaking to the Malaysian press, he cited the example of the 
Bosnian crisis which caused a flood of Bosnian refugees into neighbouring 
nations.

	ASEAN id divided over the question of admitting Burma, which has 
drawn condemnation for alleged human rights abuses.
