Suu Kyi: International Women's Day

Euro-Burmanet (Paris) salutes Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on the occassion of
the International Women's Day, March 8,1997, for her outstanding courage
and determination in the struggle for democracy and peace in Burma, and
for her example to men and women around the world that world leaders
would do well to follow and do the same. And we share her deep regret
and sympathy for the current massacre by the Burmese military junta
against the Karen people.
