          Burma's pro-democracy leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, is
          recovering from injuries sustained when she fell down the
          stairs of her Rangoon home. 

          In a statement, her opposition National League for
          Democracy party said she was "recovering satisfactorily" but
          needed complete rest.

          The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, who spent six years under
          house arrest, slightly injured her upper back and neck when
          she slipped down the staircase last month.
