Carol@xxxxxxxxxx:Burmese nationals have been the target of tortures since
1988. I am glad somebody has been publicizing as I did  when a young woman
was raped in Mas Sot in 1989. Besides, you will have noticed that some local
authorities have been keeping young women in their homes against their will.
I wrote about it in Bangkok Post in 1989. This is the result of SLORC's
inability to take care of our own poor people. Throughout the whole country,
there are jobless people aimlessly wandering having nothing to eat.There are
undernourished children wretchedly clad and hanging around their parents
 .Children are not going to schools as they are closed.
