DESIP ADDENDUM #3 - SEPTEMBER 1997 NOW AVAILABLE

The latest DESIP release, Addendum #3, the sixth in the
DESIP series going back to December 1995 is now available.
The new addendum includes updates on Algeria and North
Korea, press restrictions in Jordan, pressures on
indigenous Brazilian peoples, restricted access to
abortion in the U.S., world-wide decline of coral reefs,
an ozone hole update and more.

The purpose of DESIP is to present information which
illuminates the connection between environmental scarcity
and political conflict. DESIP presents information on the
world's wars and trouble spots and features demographic and
environmental data. DESIP provides links to related sites
and in its FOCUS sections, information and analysis of the
conflict in the Middle East; detailed population and
security information and opportunity to order books on
environmental and Middle East issues. Finally, DESIP also
hosts the site of the International Society of Malthus.
