SLORC General Aye Kyaw Dies in Lond

YANGON, Sept. 19 (Kyodo) - Myanmar Information Minister Maj. Gen. Aye Kyaw
died of lung cancer in a London hospital Thursday, according to family
sources. He was 59. 

A former commander of the northeast military region, Aye Kyaw became minister
for information in June 1995. 

He is survived by his wife and six children.
