The Fourth Infantry Division's ad hoc search and rescue centre has resumed its
operation to search for the helicopter which went missing near the
Thai-Burmese border late last month, the director said yesterday.
Four helicopters have been dispatched in search of the Jet Ranger and possible
survivors in Burma while about 700 Border Patrol Police personnel were sent
out on a ground search in Umphang district, Col Chatphet Yaem-ngarnriap said.
The missing helicopter has four people on board and belongs to the Naresuan
Task Force. It went missing on August 28 reportedly in a border area between
Umphang and Phop Phra districts.
