(1)		Four More Bridges to Link Yangon with Other Areas
		Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt
inspected preparations for the construction of Maha Bandoola Bridge,
Ngamoeyeik Bridge (Thingangyun) and Shwepyitha Bridge and construction of
Aungzeya Bridge in Yangon. The suspension Maha Bandoola bridge across the
Pazundaung Creek will link Dawbon with Yangon. The bridge will be 787 feet
long and the approach road on either side 924 feet totalling 2,635 feet.
Dawbon and Thakayta will develop on completion of the six-lane Maha Bandoola
Bridge in one and a half years. The Ngamoeyeik Bridge (Thingangyun) serves as
a gateway to the capital, Yangon, and there will be easier access to States
and Divisions from the capital on completion of the bridge coupled with
speedier flow of commodities. The Shwepyitha Bridge will be build across the
Hline River. It will link Shwepyitha and Hlinethaya Townships. The Shwepyitha
Bridge will be built with steel the surrounding areas. Residents and products
of Ayeyawady Division will have easier access to the remaining States and
Divisions. The Aungzeya Bridge across Hline River is a suspension bridge. The
main bridge will be 1,902 feet long and approach roads 1,882 feet, totalling
3,784 feet, it is learnt.

International Mr Joseph L K Hooi at his office.
(D)		Minister at Office of the State Peace and Development Council Chairman
Secretary of Myanmar Investment Commission brig-Gen Maung Maung received
Vice-President of Young Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia Mr Stephen
Anthonysamy and party at his office.
