Burma Leader Promises Democracy (r)

I would like to see your comments regarding the statement made by Lt. General
Khin Nyunt.

If he means a democracy similar to the "Constitution" that he and his friends
in
uniform are orchestrating, then it cannot be called "democracy" in any sense
of
the word. The National Convention does not have national representation, does
not operate under democratic principles, and can only result in another "name
change" for BSPP - NUP - SLORC - SPDC - ?????

I am sure the Young Presidents Organization are not made up of naive men and
woman. I only hope they see the Burmese Military Government for what they are,
understand that there is no basis for good business investments in Burma at
this
time and start supporting the pro democracy activist movement and provide aid
to
the refugees in the border areas.
