More Fabrications
The anti-Myanmar Government factions have already decided to raise the tempo
of this Smear Campaign to new heights and are acting in an coordinated fashion
from within the country and abroad.
ABSDF has stated U Tha Ban and Khun Sai as ethnic leaders who have been
arrested and sentenced by SPDC. Again, in this case the term ethnic leaders
has been utilized as the term students and De Soto was used in
yesterday?s fabrication to attract attention, sympathy, sensationalism and in
this case to add a sense of racial discrimination and repression.
Of course, it would be very much interesting to know what kind of leaders
these (2) are and which ethnic group they represent. None of these people
sentenced were denied access to legal counsel and in fact the state provided
them with one for legal counselling. They were definitely not given jail
sentences for writing a historical account of the Myanmar Students Movement
but for breaching the 1962 Printers and Publishers Registration Act and also
for breaching the Emergency Provision Act of 1950. And the two so-called
female student leaders Su Su Win and Khin Moe Aye are over (30) years of age
and both of them are graduates and not students as the majority of the members
of the ABSDF are.
