U.S. Sanctions affecting Burmese citizens

Sanctions have hurt the Burmese economy as new U.S. and new non-U.S.
businesses cannot invest in Burma any more. Contracts cannot be renewed for
the existing U.S. companies doing business in Burma. Skyscraper hotels in
Burma such as Sedona and Traders have only vacant rooms. It is needless to
say U.S. sanctions are hurting the Burmese economy yet sanctions do hurt the
U.S. economy too. I just found out a fact that Burmese citizens living
abroad are hurt too. How? Burmese citizens who may wish to invest in
brokerage accounts in U.S. brokerage firms are prohibited to have such
investment accounts which means if you are a Burmese citizen, you won't be
able to buy stocks and mutual funds. To be quite frank ,I have no idea at all
why and how this is being affected and I'm in the process of making
inquiries regarding this matter and post it as soon as I find it out.

Peace.
