Down with Myanmar(sic) military dictatorship+ACE-
Down with SPDC and their lackeys+ACE-

Dear Friends,

8.8.98 is the tenth anniversary of Burma's most-significant =
pro-democracy uprising in 1988. It will be a milestone in the Burmese =
history and will be remembered by Burmese patriots forever.

Pro-democracy Burmese patriots living in Sydney (Australia) held a =
meeting on 9 May 1998 and formed a Joint Actions Committee for =
Democratic Burma comprising 18 political, social, welfare groups and =
individuals to meet, consult and do any activity together concerning =
restoration of democracy and human rights to Burma. U Tin Tut, MP-elect =
for Enmei Constituency, and U Daniel Aung, MP-elect for Mongping =
Constituency, were unanimously agreed to be patrons of the Committee.

A coordinator, a secretary and a treasurer will be selected alternately =
from the Committee for each occasion. For the coming 8888 occasion the =
three selected executives are: U Aye Kyaw, U San Lin and U Maung Maung =
Myint.

There will be a huge rally on 8 August 1998 in front of the SPDC =
Embassy, Arkana Street, Yarralumla, in Canberra, ACT starting at 12:00 =
noon. All pro-democracy Burmese people and many Aussie friends are =
expected to participate in the rally.

Contact persons for the 8888 rally are: U Aye Kyaw (02) 9649 5824, U San =
Lin (02) 9718 6615 and U Maung Maung Myint (02) 9726 7756.
