Myanmar readies jail for Suu Kyi, s (r)

Re: Myanmar readies jail fro Suu Kyi, says opposition
=====================================================
We won't take anything we heard from both sides as a psychological
warfare. I believe, NLD won't set a dealine for a parliament to be
convened unless the time is right. Why should we doubt that now? After
all, NLD has the mandate to do so in the first place.

SPDC on the otherhand will try various means to put a wedge between
Daw Aung San suu Kyi and all her supporters. But, it won't work.
She won't budge and she would not accept any special treatment for her
in any case.

Bogyoke Aung San was assassinated while he was making plans to gain
independence from the British on 19 July 1947.

Now, 51 years later, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the daughter of Bogyoke Aung
San is again making plans for the entire nation to gain a second
independence. We are lucky to have a leader like her who stood up
selflessly for the people of Burma who are under the rule of an
oppressive and corrupt military regime for more than 36 years
(1962-1998).

What is needed is a peaceful dialogue and settlement to convene a
parliament to draft a constitution that we all want. There is no need
for the SPDC to create more troubles within the country as they have
done in 1988. It is not necessary that we should ask outside help if we
can understand each other and compromise. Since more 82% of the populace
voted for the NLD in the May 1990 general elections, there is no way
that SPDC the can claim the support of the majority of the people.

In solidary with the NLD movements,
