6 Arakan leaders murdered in a  deal with India and the SPDC

- Rangoon Post -  13 July, 1998 Monday

  During a meeting on an island in India's territorial waters, 6
Arakanese leaders from the Arakan state of Burma/Myanmar assacinated on
the spot as the exited their airplane.  

  They were apparently on a mission to meet India's MI (Military
Intellience) again to buy more arms.  But the SPDC was there waiting
having found out and bought-out the MIs for a few million more $US
dollars than the Arakan leaders paid them for the weapons.

  The MI's reported it as a foiled arms deal that they killed all the
arms dealers involved.  The bodies were either dumped into the ocean or
taken back to Rangoon by the SPDC.
