Thai uprising video!



To Whom It May Thai and Southeast Asian Studies Concern:

This is to inform you that Thammasat University Archives has just issued 
a video: 14 Tula (1973) Student Uprising in Thailand.  The Video is 55 
minute long, covering the 1973 democratic revolution which toppled a 
military regime in Thailand.  It focusses on the actual events between 
6-15 October, with film footages of student rallies at Thammasat 
University, massive march on the Rajadamnoen Avenue, shooting scenes, the 
King appearing on TV, and the collapse of the junta. It is narrated in 
Thai with English subtitle.  There is also a booklet on the history of 
October 14, written in Thai by Charnvit Kasetsiri, and an English 
translation by Benedict Anderson.  The video is part of the celebration 
of the 25th Anniversary of the October 14 Revolution, 1973-1998.  Proceed 
goes to TU Archives.

The video is 500 baht
