Progress of Education vs Dirty Tricks

In striving for the emergence of a peaceful, modern and developed nation
as soon as possible
on the basis of national strength and on self-reliance, the State Peace
and Development
Council is giving priority to the full materialization of the objective
calling for the uplift of
the education standard of the entire nation.

It is essential for all to nurture intellectuals and intelligentsia
imbued with patriotism, Union
spirit and national spirit.  National education programmes are being
implemented to
effectively fulfil national requirements of the education sector in
accord with the objective
calling for the uplift of the education standard of the entire nation.

It is important for all to nurture the students of today who will
shoulder the responsibilities of
the State to become intellectuals and intelligentsia imbued with
patriotism, Union spirit and
strong national outlook and well-versed in advanced science and
technology.  The education
programmes to uplift the education standard of the entire nation, which
conform to political,
economic and social agenda of the State and culture and tradition of
Myanmar people, are
designed to establish a national education system.

At the time the entire nation is making all-out efforts for national
development to catch up
with other nations, traitors and some neo-colonialist nations are
resorting to political dirty
tricks to interfere in the domestic affairs of our nation.

At the opening of the Special Refresher Course No.32 for Basic Education
Teachers at the
Central Institute of Civil Service Chairman of Myanmar Education
Committee Secretary-1 of
the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt explicitly
revealed the resolve
that the government will never tolerate any external interference, allow
destabilization of the
situation and undermining of sovereignty.

He said while the government is working for stability of the State,
development, uplift of
social standard of the public and promotion of education standard, the
destructionists are
disrupting peace and stability and upsetting the economy by their
political stunts.

All patriotic citizens are dutybound to crush the minions of the
colonialists in accord with the
People?s Desire and to stop traitorous subversives from using the
education sector as their
stepping stone.  All the teachers have to implement the national
education programmes by
nurturing the pupils to be imbued with patriotism and nationalism and to
protect their pupils
from the danger of traitors and to organize and lead the youth.
