[email protected]: Re: The Progres

Dear Okkar,

At the last paragraph of your reply, You urged us to think for the
country first. Here are my comments.

1. Is it not good for the country to release the political prisoners? By
definition, political prisoners are not common criminals. Don't you
think every Burmese deserve the right to express their opinion without
the fear of being detained by the SPDC?

2. Is it not good for the country to have multi-party system? The former
Soviet Union had a single-party system similar to that of SPDC....
Look what happen to that country.

3. Is it not good for the country to allow the winner of the only
ligitimate Democratic Election to freely travel? After all she is still
entitled to her basic human rights such as the right to speak her mind
and travel where ever she wish. How do you expect anyone in the Free
World to take the SPDC seriously if it cannot respect such basic human
rights?

4. Is it not good for the country to reopen the schools for the young
Burmese? How do you expect our young people to lead the country into the
future without proper education? If we are sincere about rebuilding the
country we must give our young people the know how and resources to carry
on with their duties. Without proper education, we will always be
lagging behind the rest of the world.

Sincerely,
Simon Khin

While we are happy to see the good sign of dialogue, the stupid persons
are
waging the demands first. If your opponents wage the demands, as you are
doing
now, for example:

In order to process a genue dialogue with the SPDC, the NLD must comply
the
following tasks first:

1. Exclude the people who are not the election representative.
2...............................................
3...............................................

Then what will happen? No meaningful dialogue will occur. I don't mean
that
you should not do such demands. My point is why such demands can be made
during the discussions and why should they are needed to do before the
discussions.

Today is already Aug.19th, in Myanmar it is Aug.20th. What happened?
Nothing.
Don't you see that your fellow activists are waging another issue "Force
Labour" when they realize that nothing will happen till Aug.21st.

Be sincere my friend. Think for the country and for the people first and
think
for your own needs afterwards.

ok
