Ericsson Suspends Business Ties with Burma

            STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 1998--Ericsson
            today announced it has suspended all business ties with
Burma,
            effective immediately. Ericsson's decision was taken in
light of
            concerns expressed in the United States, which potentially
could
            damage the company. Ericsson's current level of business in
Burma is
            negligible.
