(1)		Workshop on Endoscopic Surgery Held at Medical Research Department 
		The Workshop on Endoscopic Surgery sponsored by the Ministry of Health,
Europ Continents Co Ltd and Storz Co was held at the Medical Research
Department on Ziwaka Street on 20 September. Surgeon Professor spoke about the
endoscopic surgery. Marketing Manager Mr Philippe Lux of Storz Co and Managing
Director Mr Christophe Felix of Europ Continents Co Ltd also spoke. Later,
Minister and Deputy Minister viewed the video-assisted thoracoscopic surgical
equipment of Europ Continents Co Ltd and Storz Co.

(2)		Tennis Tournament of Military Attaches
		Tennis tournament of military attaches of foreign missions in Myanmar,
officers of the Ministry of Defence, Office of the Strategic Studies and
Directorate of Defence Services Intelligence began at Theinbyu Tennis Plaza on
20 September. Military attaches of foreign missions in Myanmar donated cash to
Myanmar Tennis Federation.

(3)		Formation of ASEAN Myanmar Fisheries Organization
		A coordination meeting on formation of ASEAN Myanmar Fisheries Organization
of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries was held at Fisheries Department in
Ahlon Township on 20 September. It was attended by Deputy Minister and
departmental heads. Director-General of Fisheries Department clarified the
rules for formation of the organization, followed by a general round of
discussions.

OFFICE CALL IN YANGON ON 20 SEPTEMBER
		Minister for Health received Chairman Professor Dr Alain Patel of Franco-
Asian Medical Association (AMFA) of France and anaesthetist 
Dr Jean-Michel Bader. They discussed cooperation in health between the 
Ministry of Health and AMFA.
