     Statement
Refer to Saw Aung Win Shwe's exoneration dated 29 July 1998. We Saw Darlin
and Saw Tin Htut presumably respond as follow;

We have never accused Saw Aung Win Shwe (former general secretary of
general secretary of OKRSO) intentionally. We have been elected and honored
as chairman and general secretary of OKRSO for the term of 1998 by OKRSO's
members and karen compatriots. so we are the most responsible for what so
ever OKRSO may concern. Thus we have managed to explicate the case that MMC
had granted through Focolar, the subsidy for two Karen students, Which OKRSO
had been received only the copy of it and was addressed to Saw Aung Win Shew
former general secretary matter of faculty. We have requested Saw Aung Win
Shwe to come and co-operate with us. He declined thought. So we discussed
how to handle that case with some of OKRSO member, he herd the rumor and
misunderstand us. We OKRSO member appreciate teamwork activities and oppose
"one men show" functioning. According to rule and regulation Saw Aung Win
Shwe is responsible for what he has done and for the term of 1998 he is not
concerned with OKRSO and no rigth to manage the subsidy for two Karen
students. We have taken a responsibility and we sent a letter to (FOCOLARE)
asking how the donation from MMC was being functioned. Although we haven't
got any response only we have received Saw Aung Win Shwe's exoneration.
Again we requsted him to attend our meeting at (6.8.98) and he did not come.
Therefore weOKRSO members all agreed and decied to respond his statement we
OKRSO reveal this statement.
