Battle News

 On October 24, 1998, enemy combined troops of No 25  infantry battalion
and No
280, Numbering over 100 shelled at HsaMu Taw village. Particularly at
hill-side
cultivation for Seven round on October 25, 1998. Own troops (God Army)
shell at
the same enemy troops with 107-mm rocket.. It was reportedly known that 17
enemy soldiers including one army officer were killed and 7 wounded. Besides
four enemy's porters were killed and one wounded. On October 29, 1998 enemy's
LIR No. 558  led by Battalion 2.I.C Captured six villagers of Bler, accusing
them of working with KNU and God Army latter killed them all. 

 Six villagers who were killed are identified as- 
1.      Saw Wah Lay aged 32, son of Pah Tee Pu and Naw Mah Aye.
2.      Tha Ra Mya Aye aged 32, son of Pah Tee Tah Pee.
3.      Saw Ta Pla aged 19, son Pah Tee Tah Day and Naw Dah Shee.
4.      Saw Maw Ner aged 37, whose parents' name are unknown.
5.      Saw Tha Chaw aged 21, son of Pah Tee Ta Lu and Naw Bee Aye.
6.      Saw HsaPaw aged 24, son of Pah Tee Su and Naw Paw Lay.  
Because of enemy intimidation and order which said if the villager were
capture
they would be killed, the villagers dared not stay in their village and hid
themselves in the jungle. About 20 household who seem to be unsafe to hide in
the jungle fled to the border area on 4th November 1998.

 On November 1st, 1998, Dah Bler, anti-insurgent group in-charge, intending to
detect gold at Kamaw Thway, Koh Say area, sent 20 sacks of rice to that area.
With an intention to guard Dah Bler's group, enemy combined troops IB  280 
and  104 were also sent with some people's militia of Kaler Kee numbering over
100 before them.

 On November 8th, 1998, at 11 a.m., our troops  (God Army) ambushed enemy
troops
at Hsamu Taw, killing one enemy sergeant. 

 On November 10th, 1998 enemy SPDC troops clear up the roads from Myitta to
Amoh
and then to Bong Ti in order to build highway road.

 On November 12th, 1998, our troops of KNLA No 11 Battalion encountered
with the
enemy troops of LIR 558 at a place of between Hsaw La Moh and Naw Pya
villages;
the battle lated for 14 minutes and enemy's casualty was unknown.

(1)     There was a clash in the early morning of November 14th , 1998,
between
God's Army's of No (3) company led by captain Maw Ni Koh whose strength about
40 and enemy troops IB No 17 , near Kaw Paw (a) Myin Khan Pone village killing
20 enemy soldiers and wounding 8 while there was no casualty from God's Army
(2)     On November 15, at 1:00 p.m., No (2) company of God's Army waged
guerrilla warfare against the enemy troops IB (103)  which stationed at Mae
Tha
Mee Kee. It was reportedly known that 2 enemy's soldiers were killed.
Note. IB        = Infantry Battalion.
          LIR   = Light Infantry Regiment.
