(1)		Prime Minister of Lao People's Democratic Republic Mr Sisavath
Keobounphanh and  Madame Khamla Keobounphanh arrive on Official Visit

		At the invitation of Chairman of the State Peace and Development 
Council and Prime Minister of the Union of Myanmar Senior General Than Shwe
and Daw Kyaing  Kyaing, Prime Minister of the Lao People's  Democratic
Republic Mr Sisavath Keobounphanh and Madame Khamla Keobounphanh arrived at
Yangon International  Airport by special flight at 9.30  am on 23 November on
an official visit to the Union  of Myanmar.  LPDR Prime Minister Mr Sisavath
Keobounphanh and Madame Khamla Keobounphanh  were accompanied by Vice-Prime
Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Somsavat Lengsavad, Minister of
Commerce and Tourism Mr Phoumi Thipphavone,  Vice-Minister of Agriculture and
Forestry Mr Sitaheng Rasphone,  Vice-Minister of  Communication, Transport,
Posts and Construction Mr Xay Phakaxoum and other senior officials.

(2)		Agreements Signed Between Government of Myanmar & Government of Lao
People's Democratic Republic
		Agreements between the Government of the Union of Myanmar and the Government
of the Lao People's Democratic Republic were signed at the Pyithu Hluttaw
Building on 23 November.  Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and
Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Somsavat Lengsavad
signed the Agreement between the  Government of the Union of Myanmar and the
Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic on Visa Exemption for
Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports and exchanged documents. Deputy
Minister for Information of Myanmar and Ambassador of LPDR Mr. Ly Bounkham
then signed the Agreement between  Myanma News Agency (MNA) and Khaosan Pathet
Lao (KPL).
 
(3)		Prime Minister Mr. Sisavath Keobounphanh Calls on Senior General Than
Shwe
		Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Mr. Sisavath
Keobounphanh,  currently on a goodwill visit in Myanmar called on Chairman of
the State Peace and Development Council and Prime Minister of the Union of
Myanmar Senior General Than Shwe in the Credentials Hall at the Pyithu Hluttaw
Building at 2 pm on 23 November.

(4)		Secretary-1 & Wife Call on Prime Minister of LPDR and Wife
		Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt and
wife  Dr Khin Win Shwe paid a courtesy  call on Prime Minister of the  Lao
People's Democratic Republic Mr Sisavath Keobounphanh and wife Madame  Khamla
Keobounphanh at Seinle Kantha State House at 11 am on 23 November.

(5)		Deputy Chief of OSS Receives Singaporean Military Officers
		Deputy Chief of the Office of Strategic Studies  and Deputy Director of
Defence Services Intelligence  received officers of Armed Forces of Singapore
who are trainees of the post-graduate course at Temasek Society led by Col
Terence Siew Chee Kin at the Defence Services Guest House on 23 November.
Endeavours for Myanmar's political, economic and social development and anti-
drug activities were explained to the guests with the audio-visual aids. 

(6)		Evaluation and Pre-Production Meeting for ASEAN in Action V Commences
		A ceremony to open Evaluation and Pre-production Meeting for ASEAN in Action
V was held at Mya Yeik Nyo Royal Hotel  on 23 November. The delegates
discussed matters pertaining to radio broadcasting of ASEAN member nations.
(7)		Japan-Myanmar Well-Wishers Association Donates Cash to School for the
Blind
		Japan-Myanmar Well-wishers Association on 23 November donated cash to the
School for the Blind of the Social Welfare Department of the Ministry  of
Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. On behalf of Japan Myanmar Well-
wishers Association,  Mr Mochizuki spoke about the donation and handed cash
for the school to Secretary-2 of the SPDC.
