Subject To set up the The Pa O Youth Organization.
The first preliminary meeting of the Pa.O young refugees and  young monks was
held in Chiang Mai on the 29th of November 1998. As a result, we all agreed to
set up an organization for Pa.O young refugees including Pa.O young monks in
Thailand.
There was a second meeting in Chiang Mai, on the 4th of December 1998. In this
meeting, Pa.O young refugee's young monks and we set up the Pa.O Youth
Democratic Organization.
Our objective:
To give moral support and promote skills truing and development programs for
Pa.O young refugees in jungles along the Thai-Burma border.
Our project goal:
1) To encourage and help the Pa.O refugees in jungle along the Thai-Burma
border
to learn English and Thai to give them occasionally training courses in
subjects such as typing, sewing, wearing etc?
2) To help them gain confidence, self-reliance and to prevent narcotic drug
addiction and the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation.
3) To have them gain Democracy, Federalism and Human Rights knowledge. And
teach
them and guide them how to apply their new knowledge effectively on their
return to Burma.
4) To encourage and helf them to eliminate the military junta or dictatorship
bymeans of non-violence. And to help them with the spirit of unity to join
hand
in hand whit other nationalities in fighting against our common enemy.
5) To maintain cultural values and a national identity.
