[burmanet2-l] The Junta and NLD has

Subject: Re: [burmanet2-l] The Junta and NLD has one thing in common

jm, cheer up dude! you sound disheartened, sure Burma is down and has
had a hard go of it, real hard, but suu kyi is there and still alive and
playing a good game with the international powers, remember, a
congressman looking for headlines on a very controversial issue like
this will not go to far in squaring a fair deck, you cannot count on
hall to make waves in burma. i disagree on aid unless as you say it can
be closely monitored by un authorities sur place like in KOSOVO or
Rwanda where they got burned, and the UN was held part in play for
genocide...

remember, except for the bedlam or politicians running for european
elections to the parliament in may, we have the ILO decision and the
ICFTU pushing hard for full eu sanctions.

there is a break in the stormy seas ahead, but even then, and after, it
will rough going for a long time until Burma gets to be a happy place
again. But if Vietnam can come back, and Cambodia, Burma can too.
