               Heroin blocks, Stimulant tablets, Machinery seized

YANGON, 30 JAN ? A duty conscious person informed Tachilek Anti-Drug Squad at
about 6 am on 24 January that a large amount of narcotic drugs and machinery
had been hidden in the house of Sai Kyauk, son of U Kay Lon Yu at 1/7, 4th
lane, Meikhong Ward, Tachilek Township; that of Sai Um Kham, son of UAik Khwe
at 117, Hninhsi Street, Macao Kham, Ward, that of Sai Aik Kham at 173, Block
2, Macao Kham Ward and that of Sai Kyauk, son of U Aik Khwe at 4/89, Rhatta
Street, Hsamsai Upper Ward.

 According to the information, under the leadership of regional battalion,
members of Defence Services Intelligence Unit, Myanmar Police Force, Anti-Drug
Squad of MPF, Special Investigation Division of MPE, Bureau of Special
Investigation and Customs Department raided the how and nabbed Sai Kyauk with
a car used in drugs trafficking and chemical substances. The drug and
paraphernalia seized were:

 (1) 145 cakes of heroin weighing 53.42 kilos

(2) a machine used for production of stimulant tablets

(3) 502,000 WY brand stimulant tablets

(4) 33 kilos of WY brand stimulant tablets

(5) 9.7 kilos of stimulant powder

(6) 285 kilos of whitish ephedrine powder

(7) Five kilos of orange colour dye powder

(8) 50 rounds of .22 ammunition made in US

(9) Ya/94556 C-100 motor-cycle

 

The authorities also nabbed Sai Um Kham and seized the following
paraphernalia: 

(1) a 300cc bottle of brownish dye liquid with Thai label 

(2) a 300cc bottle of whitish dye liquid with Thai label 

(3) one bottle of orange colour dye (4) one bottle of yellowish dye 

(5) machinery used in making stimulant tablets

(6) 75,000 baht

Sai Aik Khwe and Aik Tip were nabbed in the house of Sai Aik Khwe?s house and
the following paraphernalia were seized:

(1) 0.023 kilo of orange colour stimulant tablets

(2) 100 packets of greenish dye

(3) 64 packets of yellowish dye 

(4) 64 packets of reddish dye

(5) 26 packets of yellowish dye

(6) eight packets of paleyellow dye

(7) a 500 cc bottle of strawberry colour dye

(8) a 500 cc bottle of greenish dye

(9) one kilo of whitishephedrine crystal

(10) eight moulds used in making WY and 99 Brand stimulant tablets


 

Acting on information given by Aik Tip son of U Aik Yi, the team also raided
the house of Sai Kyauk and seized from him the apparatus used in making
stimulant tablets. They are:

 ( I ) a base frame of stimulant making machine 

(2) a motor made in Thailand 

(3) parts of the stimulant tablet making machine

Members of the combined anti-drug squad have resolved to eradicate narcotic
drug national duty, and have been incessantly destroying them. Effective
action will be taken against the five persons nabbed with the narcotic drugs.
