YANGON, March 26 (Reuters) - Myanmar's government has signalled readiness to
allow opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi to visit her gravely ill husband in
England and guarantee she can return to her homeland, diplomatic sources
said on Friday.

The government's latest position on the issue was made by a government
spokesman at a briefing for military attaches from diplomatic missions, the
sources told Reuters. Myanmar government spokesmen were not immediately
available for comment.
