SPDC's STATE BUDGET FOR 1997/98

Governments come and go. Yet the SPDC, the military government, is still
there and the year is 1999. The United States government always releases
data on   government budgets and related spending information  to the
public. As we all are either inquisitive Burmese or inquisitive observers of
the Burmese situation, such data could be of interest to us all.And the
following is the data collected recently.

SPDC's STATE BUDGET FOR 1997/98

In 1997/98 SPDC's State budget estimates, total investment was estimated at
K 35569
million of which K 21023 million was allocated gor the governmental
departments and
agencies, K 14534 million for the State Economic Enterprises and K 12
million for the
Cantonment Municipalities respectively.
