A 53-year-old Australian woman has been jailed in Burma's notorious
Insein prison for 10 years following her failure to declare A$5,000
worth of jewellery prior to her attempted departure. The Department of
Foreign Affairs says all consular attempts had een made to assist the
woman with Australian consul Peter Edwards having visited the woman in
prison.
