Support CRPP, withdraw Pacrim





Support CRPP , Protest Pacrim



As part of the Free Burma 9999 national campaign tour , All Burma
Students Democratic Organisation ABSDO with support from students and
trade unions ,   NUS QLD , NSW  , AMWU , CFMEU and Burmese community
will protest Pacrim Energy Multi national oil company   in Brisbane No
451 Gregory terrace , Springhill on Friday 11th of June 1999.
Pacrim Energy is the largest Australia based oil giant operating in
Burma since 1990. It has 8 million initial project and expected to
start drilling in 1999.
The protest will start at 12 Noon . Then the protest letter will be
handed over . Theere are a number of  US oil company Arco and many
companies from around the world withdrew from Burma citing the gross
violations of  human rights  as the main reason to pull out. Let make
sure Pacrim is next. The protest will urge all Australian companies to
withdraw from doing business with the brutal regime which rule over 37
years in Burma. This protest will call on international community to
support Committee Representing People's Parliament as legitimate
highest authority of Burma and its lawful right to convene the people's
parliament . Australain government will be urged to impose economic
sanction against the regime until CRPP has convened the people's
parliament as per 1990 results.
