Burma Out! Mandela :: The BurmaNet
Subject: Burma Out! Mandela :: The BurmaNet News: June 14, 1999
>THE NATION: MANDELA ASKS KHIN NYUNT TO VISIT SA
It has never been easy to get the ear of Mandela. He
is surrounded by his "protectors" as much as any other
head of state. However, there are some with whom he
works who have direct access. Some of these individuals
are long trusted comrades in the struggle. Some indeed
are part of the forthcoming S African government.
Considering that the Burma Out material has been getting
through to some of Mandela's comrades. It does not suprise
Burma Out that the fastest method of bringing the junta
within reach of the "old man" is to invite one of its
"distinguished members" over to S Africa on any pretext
as soon as possible.
Whereas, Aung San Suu Kyi may be dishearted by the
invitation from this world statesman.. There is no reason
to suppose that the invitation is all that he who answers,
will receive upon this visit.
We believe that Mandela learned from his mistake of
accepting the "suprise gift" of $20,000,000US from
Suharto. Indeed it became an embarrassment to both
he and the ANC, for whom it was meant.
And if you wish. We can offer you a service. If you
wish to communicate directly with those closest to Thabo
and Mandela. Pease Email Burma Out and we will set it
up for you.
Finally, Burma Out wil be addressing this invitation in its
own way. To this end and to ensure that communications
on this issue are at the best of levels. Burma Out will contact
its friends at S African High Commission and Pretoria,
tomorrow.
Thank you, and take no prisoners.
