ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting 

YANGON, 5 July - Myanmar delegation led by Minister for Energy Brig-Gen Lun 
Ihi attended the 17th ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting in Bangkok from 29 June 
to 3 July.


They were Welcomed on an at Bangkok by Counselor U Nyan Lin and embassy 
staff, and officials of PIT of Thailand.


Myanmar delegation attended the ASEAN Energy Officials Meeting held at 
Peninsula Hotel together with other delegations of ASEAN members from 29 June 
to 2 July and the 17th ASEAN Energy Ministers Meeting at the same venue on 3 
July.


The meeting discussed the multinational cooperation in the energy sector. 
ASEAN members? overcoming of the economic decline that occurred all over the 
world, implementation of building natural gas network in ASEAN region, 
greater co-operation in the coal sector, and holding of the 18th ASEAN Energy 
Ministers Meeting in Hanoi.
