Subject: Burma Out : Meeting on S Af trade unfair.
>YANGON, 13 July - A meeting was held at the Ministry of Commerce this
>afternoon to coordinate attending of the South Africa International Trade
>Fair. Deputy Minister for Commerce Commodore Myo Tint gave a speech.
>Participants then gave suggestions.
Such as??
Be like S Africa, end the death sentence? Or was these
junta / ANC discussions even more hypocritical than that?
These discussions between Rangoon and Pretoria mean
nothing.. One is strongly advised not to read anything much
into such meetings. More boringly protocol than excitingly
progressive for either side, huh?
As for "badminton" and the olympics. Might as well warn
your junta shuttlecockers early. They will not be going to
Sydney 2000.
thanks

"Piece of Mind". Recorded in Holland in 1969, same time
