KSO statement on 52nd Anniversary of unforgettable 19th July - The Martyrs
Day. 
1. The 19th July of 1999 is the 52nd anniversary of the worldwide known martyr
day of Burma.  The national leader General Aung San together with his
colleagues, while being in a great effort for the independent of the
motherland, assassinated by unlawful political group in the 19th July 1947.
The
nefarious action not only caused a grave lost for the people but the day
became
a symbol of sorrow in the historical context of Burma. 
2. The General Aung San was the Architect of Burma independent as well as the
foremost founder of the Burma Army after the II World war. The Army once
regarded by the whole people as beloved freedom fighters who were reliable in
the courageous struggle for the Independent of Burma. After the General Nay
Win, who succeeded the martyr with army since then, had committed varieties of
crimes as killing, torturing, looting, persecuting, all sorts of criminal
actions. So it had been notorious of suppression within his country. 
3. The following were the initial action committed by the Burma Army since
their power establishment.  
(a) Illegally engaged in the coup data, then killed university student in
1962.
(b) Designed the manual strike between Chinese and Burmese, Thus violated
peaceful existence of the international law. 
(c) 1996 launched heavy military offensive against the ethnic Karen in their
territory.] 
(d) The democracy election was presided but ignored the power transference to
the winner. 
(e) Heavily suppressed upon the ethnic people who were living along the
stretched border through the dragon king operation. 
4. At the present day, in order to maintain the administrative power
continuously, the Burma leaders, designing different tactics to protect the
democracy from being practised. Their was no peace in the region of
Nationality
where all sorts of crime were committed by the Burma Army, which let country
fall into the deepest calamity. 
5. Therefore all people and ethnic nationality in Burma would be firmly keep
arms in arms in their struggle against the military dictatorship and military
administration. Only then peace, justice, human rights would be restored and
genuine federal state could be constructed in the coming future.
