(1)		Multi-Media Classroom Opened at Tamway Basic Education High 
School 			No. 4 in Yangon

		An Opening ceremony of the multi-media classroom of Tamway 
Basic Education High School No. 4 was held at the school on 17 July in 
Yangon. Headmistress spoke of the aims for opening the multi-media classroom, 
its sections and functions and the invited guests inspected the computerized 
teaching and learning section, demonstrative media section, language study 
section and educational broadcasting section of the multi-media classroom, 
domestic science room, school clinic and laboratory. 

(2)		Myanmar Delegation Arrives Back

		A Myanmar goodwill delegation led by Chairman of the Union of 
Myanmar Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control, Minister for Home Affairs 
arrived back Yangon by air on 17 July after visiting the Russian Federation 
at the invitation of the Federal Security Bureau of the Russian Federation. 

(3)		Symposium on Management of Respiratory Tract Infections

		A Symposium on Management of Respiratory Tract Infections 
organized by Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd in Myanmar was held at Traders Hotel on 
17 July. It was attended by medical scientists, physicians and specialists. 
Professor Dr. Dieter Adam of University of Munich of Germany submitted paper 
on "Recent Advances in the Antimicrobial Therapy of Respiratory Tract 
Infections" and Professor Dr U Khin Maung Cho of Department of Respiratory 
Medicine of Yangon General Hospital on "Respiratory Tract Infections-A 
Myanmar Perspective". Those present then took part in the discussions.

(4)		Tele-Radiology Link for Ministry of Health

		A seminar on Implementation of Tele Medicine sponsored by 
Basic Human Need Association(BHN) and International Telecommunication 
Union(ITU) of Japan and the Ministry  of Health was held at the Medical 
Science Department on 15 July, attended by Deputy Minister for Health. Expert 
of ITU Dr. Ronald Welz demonstrated on sending radiographs from one place to 
another with the aid of electronic equipment and telephones. Afterwards, 
Tele-radiology Link and spare parts were donated to the Ministry of Health by 
BHN and ITU.
