Secretary 1 discusses matters of International 
Theravada Buddhist Missionary University

YANGON, 31 July-Secretary-1 of the State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen 
Khin Nyunt met officials of International Theravada Buddhist Missionary 
University this morning. 

First, Minister Maj-Gen Sein Htwa reported to the Secretary-1 on academic and 
administrative matters of the university.


Then, Pro-Rector Dr Hla Pe explained about the holding of mid-term 
examination, pass rates, excursions, conducting alms rounds and meditation 
practices, arrangements for second-term, research work on storing the stone 
inscriptions of the Fifth Synod of the Sangha in the CD-ROM, donations 
received and appointment of teaching and administrative staff. 

The Secretary- 1 and party went to Thirimingala Kaba Aye Hill and inspected 
extension of Maha Nayaka Kyaungdawgyi Phayasaung.

Then, Secretary-1 Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt and party paid obeisance to Vice-Chairman 
Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru 
Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Bhaddanta Khamavuda.

Secretary-1 Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt presented Waso robes to Bhaddanta Khamavuda. 
Secretary-1 Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt and party then inspected construction of 
Convocation Dhammayon of State Pariyatti Sasana Tekkatho (Yangon).


Secretary-1 Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt and party paid homage to Buddha image Mogok 
Soonsar Kyaung and left there.
