Khun Sa's son, guerrillas taking over Golden Triangle

The second son of notorious drug lord Khun Sa and a Myanmar
guerrilla group are consolidating control of the illicit drug
business in the ''Golden Triangle,'' the area where the Thai, Laotian
and Myanmar borders converge, a Thai military report says.
     Led by the United Wa State Army (UWSA), a rebellious group 
fighting in Myanmar's northern Shan State, the takeover is the first 
consolidation since warlord Khun Sa and most of his rebel army 
surrendered to Myanmar in 1996.
