Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and party visit Mandalay, Bagan-NyaungU
YANGON, 1 Aug- Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Mr Bhichai Rattakul and
goodwill delegation, visiting here at the invitation of Secretary-1 of the
State Peace and Development Council Lt-Gen Khin Nyunt, accompanied by
Minister for Foreign Affairs U Win Aung and officials, left here by Tatmadaw
special flight for Mandalay yesterday morning.
The visiting Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and party together with Deputy
Commander Col Nay Win paid homage to Maha Myatmuni Buddha Image and offered
Shwethingan to
The visiting Deputy Prime Minister presented cash to the Pagoda fund.
They also paid obeisance to Hsutaungpyi Pagoda on Mandalay Hill and donated
cash towards the Pagoda funds.
Commander Maj-Gen Ye Myintl hosted lunch in honour of Deputy Prime Minister
of Thailand at Nanmyo Guest House.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and party inspected Myanansankyaw
Shwenandaw, cultural museum of the Shwenandaw and U Sein Myint?s gold
embroidery works.
The goodwill delegation left Mandalay by Tatmadaw special flight at 4 pm for
Bagan-NyaungU.
They were welcomed at Bagan-NyaungU Airport by Chairman of Magway Division
Peace and Development Council Col Thein Zaw and The Thai Deputy Prime
Minister and party visited Bagan Archaeological Museum and Shwezigon Pagoda.
Chairman of Magway Division Peace and Development Council Col Thein Zaw
hosted dinner in honour of Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and party at
Bagan Hotel in the evening .
The Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Mr Bhichai Rattakul and goodwill
delegation visited Myanma Lacquer ware Institute, Lacquer ware museum and
Ananda Pagoda this morning.
The Deputy Prime Minister presented cash to the Pagoda?s funds. The visiting
Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and party arrived back here in the
afternoon.
