MYTH OR CONSPIRACY:DISSENT AMONG THE COLONELS OF SPDC

Dissent among the colonels of the SPDC is like a raging bull. Why? The
colonels are given opportunities to prosper and be in power, based on
the
acquaintance of the top generals includind Lt. Gen Khin Nyunt. If Lt.
Gen.
Khin Nyunt says yes, nobody can become a naysayer. But if you don't know
Lt.
Gen Khin Nyunt  but you are quite an industrious colonel in the army,
chances are you will never get promoted. If you are a colonel too close
to
Gen. Mg Aye too, you could be risking yourself because you will be
watched
by Lt. Gen. Khin Nyunt's bestmen and you could become a cross in the
eyes of
Lt. Gen. Khin Nyunt's club.

Unless you know Lt. Gen. Khin Nyunt, you will never run into an
opportunity
that will advance your career goal either. That is reality in the
Burmese
army. And no wonder dissent among the colonels in the army is growing
fast.
There have been several colonels who have been transfered to undesirable
regions where these colonels will make no progress but face only battle
field realities. These are the colonels who work hard but do not get
recognised for their hard work.


Dissent in the army can be proved by the recent attack on a colonel
attacked
by a hand-grenade in Rangoon. Col. Win Swe's car was attacked with a
hand
grenade while he was in his Volkswagen Jetta imported especially for the
Burmese colonels. The Burmese government is now concealing the facts
about
the attack and no official statement has been issued about the incident.
Was
Col. Win Swe an associate of Gen. Mg Aye? Was he too close to Gen. Mg
Aye?
Was he doing something out of the Burmese army traditions? Is the
existence
of two factions in the army going to be conspicuous soon? The truth is
yet
to be discovered when the time has fully come.
