         928 members resign from Ottwin Township NLD

	  YANGON,  2 Sept-A  ceremony  to  present
	  letters of resignation of 928 members of
	  Ottwin  Township   National  League  for
	  Democracy,  Bago  Division,  was held at
	  the office of Ottwin Township Multiparty
	  Democracy        General        Election
	  Sub-Commission  at 10 am  on  29  August
	  1999.

	   Nine hundred and  twenty-eight  members
	   of Ottwin  Township NLD, Bago Division,
	   of  their  own  volition,  resigned  by
	   sending  letters of resignation  to the
	   part  concerned  on 29  August  1999 as
	   they no longer wished to participate in
	   party politics of NLD.

	   Member of Kathittan  Ward NLD of Ottwin
	   Township U Aung  Than, on behalf of the
	   party   members,    explained   matters
	   related  to the  resignation  from  the
	   party and handed  over the  letters  of
	   resignation  to  Chairman  of  Township
	   Multiparty  Democracy  General Election
	   Sub-Commission U Shan Lwe.
