Interview-Kyaw Win, Much talk, Noth

Subject: Interview-Kyaw Win, Much talk, Nothing said

It seems there was much talk but nothing said in this part of the
interview. The poor sod had to do it anyway because he's between the
devil and the deep sea.

First to look at the person-HE Kyaw Win, he's a brilliant physician and
was the director of the military health services when they booted him
upstairs, as is commonly done in Burma. His crime was to be in charge
of the corrupt medical equipment purchasing board who were ripped off
in the purchase of a CT scanner for the military hospital. Of course by
the time the scanner arrived it was obsolete and they had paid many
times over for the junk.He was packed off to Canada first and then
given the UK post when Win Aung left.
His English is immaculate which ,his bosses may have assumed, was the
key element to being a good diplomat. Unfortunately his training in the
affairs of the foreign ministry began only with his first posting to
Canada. Being intellectually brilliant , he will have picked up a few
tricks by now.

Regarding his interview he should understand that the sanctions that
have been applied are but a gentle substitute to military action and
possibly bombing out Rangoon. The scanctions are a way of telling the
military govt that they are not fit to be dealt with, nor helped and
encouraged and that they have been labelled pariahs in world were
decent humans enjoy freedom. Despite his long winded comments he was
just blowing a lot of hot air with hardly any substance at all. Lets
see what the interviewer asks of him apart from sanctions and how he
retorts.
